I live in a blue state. Like Wizzo I will be voting for Johnson, although I likely would have even if I was in a swing state.
I think you are right in that a lot of people end up not voting because they know it won't matter since their state is either red or blue. To me that is one of the reasons we need to do away with the electoral college.
