It's all about volume. Offline the free content was probably 0.05%, not counting shared between friends. Online it could be 99.5%. Don't argue stats as you know my point. The Internet was simply never able to grow the consumer numbers to match the losses.
As online guys were thinking all is fine, offline were suffering. Now there's little offline left to suffer all the pain is for the online side.
No matter how much you adapt, your statement on that is wrong, no one ever adapted to not giving away free porn. They adapted to giving away more free porn. And that is adapting. Everything about business is adapting, even if it's getting better. Or looking fot a cheap shooter in Czech.
