I noticed over the summer that Harvey hadn't been posting here, then a few weeks ago I saw a thread from a client of Harvey's who hadn't received a response from him regarding some work. I've known Harvey for many years and he's always been exceptionally kind and helpful, sometimes refusing to be paid for the help. Anyway I've been concerned about his absence, knowing something of his past medical problems. So I emailed Harvey's email address with trepidation a couple of days ago to check in with him.

Today I got a reply from Ed, a cousin of Harvey's who works with him doing mainstream web design and development. He asked me to post here regarding Harvey's situation. Harvey unfortunately has a very rare medical condition he told me about a few years ago after a similar absence. Tumors, non-malignant so far, grow inside his body, when they grow in or around vital organs is where things get tough. Harvey's had two brain surgeries recently, he's recovering from the second one done last Friday right now - they're hoping he'll be out of the hospital end of next week and make a good recovery, doctors just don't know at this point.

Put Harvey in your thoughts and prayers, he's a very good man.
