The first anniversary of a death of a partner, a best friend, etc is the hardest. It is not shocking that a ton of emotions are floating around. I would love greatly to return to my impressions of both Todd and Fletch which are many years in the making because, frankly, I care about both men.
Todd would hate this.

Sarah I apologize to you. I don't mean to go off on you personally. Yes, the GFY machine as you say. And YES....Todd would hate this. It's been almost a year now and I STILL haven't even grieved my friends death. This whole year dealing with the family, the business and taking care of his youngest 10 year old (she just turned 11 now). I could write a damn novel of what myself and my wife have been going through with her and what we have been trying to do to help her. Group counseling, individual counseling, school, before school tutoring, after school tutoring....trying to get her caught up and up to speed for her age. Todd could only do so much by himself as a single dad on top of dealing with his own health issues the last years of his life. I hate to say it, but Todd's family is very dysfunctional and it hasn't gotten much better this last year. Mary is a master manipulator and plays the poor pitiful me party well. It's always been about herself. She's very selfish...always has been. Todd always gave into her and her wants. I will not do that. Her life is the way it is because she did it to herself. I'm taking care of Todd and Mary's youngest and I've tried to do what I can for the older ones, but they're adults now....all of them. They have to be responsible for themselves at some point. My main and only concern right now is for Todd's youngest and I am taking good care of her. That's about all I can say.
