Germany and Russia had a uneasy pact until June 1941 when Germany broke it, Before that point, the only opposition to Germany was the British empire so getting involved with a spat would have been suicide for Britain, it had no way of defending itself or its overseas territories from Germany AND Russia let alone helping another country.
The US was still a very long way away from entering the war. If Britain has gone to war on two fronts then Germany and Russia would have a common enemy, Hitler would have had only one front to fight and could have picked off Russia once they had won in the west. Hitler’s biggest mistake was to start a war on two fronts; if he had not done that then we could have been living in a very different world. What is so clueless about that? Go on genius, enlighten us.
