[QUOTE=DVTimes;19210852]Tesla Motors today unveiled its highly anticipated Supercharger network. Constructed in secret, Tesla revealed the locations of the first six Supercharger stations, which will allow the Model S to travel long distances with ultra fast charging throughout California, parts of Nevada and Arizona.

And if I want to drive to Denver in my Tesla, I'm screwed.

" The 85 kWh Model S has received a U.S. fuel economy rating of 89MPGe and an EPA rated range of 265 miles."

This statement also means that I could not drive a Tesla from where I live to a GF's place in Oklahoma City and be sure that I can get there without the batteries going flat.

The least expensive version of the Model S STARTS at $49,900.00 and tops out at over $97,000.00 (NINETY-SEVEN-THOUSAND DOLLARS!).

Now just why in the Hell would I want to spend that much money to be only able to drive 265 miles?

SIX charging stations!

WOO HOO!

For two grand I can buy a Slant Six '63 Dodge that will get 28 mpg and is easy to fix if it breaks! Two grand could also buy me old Mercedes 240D that I can run on WASTE OIL!

No high test batteries to fail and burn down the car as has happened to several Fiskers and who says the same thing won't happen to Teslas?

Smoke and mirrors.

What a fucking joke!
