The paysite with downloadable content is a horrible business model but that's how everything started and it can be hard to break away from that. My members love the HD videos and they wouldn't stream that well so that's another issue.
If content is downloadable then it should be like C4S, pay per video.
I think a better model would be to have a stream only membership site with the option to buy each video. For example, charge $9.95/month "stream only" and then have a "Buy This Video" option for a certain price like $3.95, etc. Thieves are cheap and they pride themselves on getting lots of content for a low price and that's one of the reasons I don't offer trials.
Yes, people can still use recorders to capture the streaming videos but there are ways to overlay the Username on the video so they would be capturing that as well. Sure, they can edit that out if they really wanted to but we all know these thieves are lazy fucks or they would have a real job so most wouldn't bother and move on to low hanging fruit.
