I am sure it depends on the type of website you're running, what you're popping, and your conversion goals for your website. But in all of my tests on my client's websites the revenue from the popunder more than made up for the minor loss in the above stats. We also use cookies for repeat visitors and paying members, control the content on the pops we run, and mix up the messaging so repeat visitors aren't bombarded with the same type of site every time.

Iv seen websites who use cookies for popups so that when the surfer first hits the site it pops up once then wont popup again for say 24 hours.
