"Career"? This isn't 1970. Girls get paid $1000 maybe $1,500 a scene. The only girls with long "careers" are the ones who have their OWN sites and make their own rules. And it isn't their "workplace" in any sense of the word. It's usually a nice hotel room and a nice bed or couch to have sex on while you get your picture taken and you are filmed.
A lot of these girls are strippers/escorts who shoot porn too. (nothing wrong with that at all) The TRUE workplace for many of them is the local strip club.
And most of them make more money escorting in a couple of days than they do in all of their porn shoots for a month.
Shooting porn scenes is just the way to get your stripper money and escort money to go up. It's a means to an end for smart women.
As for having to go bareback...no, they don't have to. They can do lesbian scenes, they can do solo scenes.
But trust me...the girls shooting porn don't make a fortune like the studio contract girls did back in the 1970's, 80's and early part of the 90's.
A lot of them shoot 2 or 3 scenes....then take a couple of weeks off and have fun and party and just live their lives. Then when they run out of money or feel they need some more exposure so they can get more money escorting or stripping...then they take another porn shoot gig.
Shooting a scene is almost a full day thing for a girl. Takes up most of a day. They can make the same money in an hour escorting and make a few hundred dancing in the club at night which includes drinking and partying and having fun.
There is no drinking and partying and having fun while shooting porn.
