So let's say a program give 55% or 60% to some mega tubes and member areas, and this is a loss for them but it is worth because you steal business to competing cam sites.
You do income on the side: as asiancam guy said, you can not take the "up to" paid terms and think that's 100% of traffic. If a progra pays up to 50% to some affiliates who send enough traffic and 40% to others, already net average paid to affilaites may be 45% or less. Then there's the "own traffic sources" if well managed that may be 50% or more of where traffic comes from, and so you can even pay affiliates on loss.
Actually, now most of the big traffic sources a cam site can get only if 1) pay fixed fee per month for the spot or 2) give 55%+ rev share and this delivers.
