All my life I've been a fucking Republican. Eight years of Bush brought the entire fucking planet to it's knees. When the Republican party offered up McCain I was stunned and disappointed. Obama came in, and you cannot deny things are better. My fucking pet dog could be running the Oval Office, and things would still be "better" than they were when Bush left office.
What did Obama promise? More jobs? Well, we've added more jobs. Every month now. I'm not sure if that's because of Obama but it doesn't matter much - we have more jobs and unemployment is down from it's high point.
All the Republican party has is "Obama failed". I'm sorry - When Bush left office exactly ten out of twenty houses on my street were vacant because people lost their houses. Four years of Obama and all of them are occupied except for one, which is due to a divorce. When Bush left office all construction had completely stopped - all of it right in the middle of construction. Four years of Obama and all of this construction has been restarted and in some cases, completed. We had entire condo complexes with dozens and dozens of units half built, now all condo units.
You just cannot deny things are better. I'm not saying Obama is our hero or our savior or that he did anything right; I'm saying things are better. In the mean time the entire Republican platform right now is "Obama Failed". At the same time Romney hasn't offered up a plan to fix anything.
The Republican party is stuck in neutral. They destroyed the country under Bush, didn't even both to try when they put up McCain, and now with Romney they don't even so much as have a plan to fix anything.
And the polls reflect this.
