I am not. I was several years ago and even ran for the Executive Board (lost) and then realized how it would be a conflict of interest for me, as an attorney, to be associated with the FSC.
I did however on several occasions travel to Sacramento with the FSC to lobby the state legislators on issues important to the industry.
With the current board and leadership I would never be closely involved with the FSC.
I support the idea of an industry wide trade organization though. One that would fairly represent ALL aspects of the industry in the US not just the paying producers. The FSC should be a true representation of all of those that earn their living in this business.
