Kora Gets the .GOV involved in the syphilis mess
Ms. Peters has contacted the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Occupational Health and Safety Association (OSHA) and several local health departments in an attempt to help save the porn industry from itself.
"At first people at the CDC didn't know how to respond," says Ms. Peters.
"They were surprised an adult actress would reach out on behalf of fellow performers to try and get some information and action. But once I explained the severity of the situation and how new cases of Syphilis are being discovered daily combined with a lack of education on STD, blood-borne pathogens, and Universal Precautions within the Adult Industry, they became
extremely concerned.
"The CDC, OSHA and other health departments across the country have now become aware of this developing and dangerous situation and I'm hopeful someone with authority, knowledge and the power to insist on halting productions, testing everyone in the Adult Industry, and most importantly educating the producers and performers will step in and help us cleanup this mess and prevent it from happening again in the future."
JESUS CHRIST Kora, are you F*CKING KIDDING ME?
