I was looking at a 2.4 k output system at my old home (I think...hard to remember exactly) And it used the same technology that I had seen on television on that show where the guy builds new homes for people who have suffered some kind of tragedy.
It was going to be out on my property in the middle of a field with perfect access to the sun and it would actually move the solar panels to follow the sun during the day. And it also stored energy for use at night.
I wouldn't have used any energy at all from the grid...and potentially would have been selling my excess energy to the power company and GETTING a small check every month.
Is that the same kind of system that you are talking about that has dropped way down in price?
If that's the case then it would pay for itself in 8.3 years time and might be worth going after.
But in my humble opinion...IF global warming is such a big deal and this would also help lower our dependence on foreign energy...Why the fuck didn't the govt. take a trillion dollars and NOT give it to the banks and just install solar power on every building in the country?
