Here in the US if you and your buddy rob a gas station at gun point and your buddy shoots someone dead, guess what - you will be charged with murder (or something related). You took part in a crime using a firearm in which someone was killed.

The difference is that they are charges for the murder of the people that the police killed.
I don't see a problem with that, don't like it ? Don't go in a large group that kills people
