You are wrong, unbreakable encryption is NOT forbidden in the USA.

Since it is already established law that under the Fifth Amendment, one cannot be compelled to reveal a password, it now appears clear that a prudent, law-abiding citizen has no option but to surrender his or her laptop upon demand by the Customs Service.
