It is more about intellectual property theft. Korea is as bad or worse as China for stealing technology. Ask, Japanese tech companies, Nokia and just about any hi-tech company in US or EU.
Warner Bros pulled out of Korea for dvd production some time ago because the companies making the discs were also pirating the discs. Many tech companies have left Korea and many refuse to work for them due to same issue.
No big fan of Apple here but they have a right to protect their investment in R&D. Also, a US Court apparently disagrees with the OP.
