I watched my dad who was only 54 at the time die of cancer. It was back in 85. He was a very healthy and fit person and always working. He went from that to laying in bed so thin and dribbling. I also remember how much pain he was in and how many times he told me, he wanted it to stop, even though he was on morphine for the pain it was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. Going back if I had the chance I would have helped him end it quickly instead of letting it drag on for his last 2 weeks.
