It's funny... a few years back there was a thread on GFY where people were talking about dating, and conversions being dead etc (much like everything else in this business). Someone at that time mentioned that there was still a lot of money to be made in dating, and listed off a number of different things that would be coming in the future. One of them was the real life meetings like you see in the Match.com ads.
In short, dating moving from the online meeting, to the real life meeting events, thrown by the website(s).
