You may have just made our point. I'm going on 4 years now with my iMac and there's no reason to change. Also, the hardware alone should not be the only deciding factor. Other factors could be:
- Windows is just not that good of an operating system anymore.
- Technical problems require you to make many phone calls or do lots of digging to get to the actual manufacturer.
- Most items in PC's are OEM, meaning the company you bought the machine from will not support you. You have to go to find the company of the specific faulty item to get support.
- Windows too is the OEM version, meaning Microsoft will not provide you with support unless you pay for it. (Crazy!)
Of course you could go with a brand name like HP and save money buying it from Best Buy, but guess what. They almost always come loaded-down with dozens of pre loaded programs that all load on boot and all sit in ram and slow down your brand new "fast" machine. Don't think Best Buy or HP will help you remove all that shit either.
Mac users aren't trying to beat you up over this issue. I have been a PC/Windows guy forever. Mac for the money is simply better. Mac's :
- Are fast
- Work perfectly. I mean perfectly. I really mean perfect-leeeee.
- Have great, fast, really really fast, support from Apple. 1 Call. 1 Website. Fast.
- Seem to have better designed software. You can drag and drop anything to anything almost.
- Make networking a snap.
- Talk to my other devices. My Macs talk to my iphone and my apple TV. I can share music with Tracy. I can start a movie on my mac, continue watching on my iphone, and finish watching on Apple TV. I can add a new appointment in my calendar and it updates my iphone calendar instantly, wirelessly, effortlessly.
How easy Macs are to use is years ahead of how each a windows pc is to use.
