Or one of your sites links to "bad" neighborhood wouldn't they punish your other sites? Other concern is interlinking, what if you add some links to your other sites and google will punish you for interlinking? Or if you trade/buy links - it will be easier for them to catch you, they can see similar patterns on most of your sites. Things like that.
