The first 'virus' that was on Macs besides isolated incidents was when I was working there and they downgraded it to technically 'just a script in iTunes' but then more came along and they eventually dropped that claim
Messing with other Macs on a network is easy, too, with sudo chmod 775 / and a few other commands
