That's a tough question. For the content writing services I get what I ask for, so the return rate is what I expect. Same with some design services here and there.
Some blogs never seem to take off no matter what I do, so the return on them is obviously disappointing. Some blogs that I don't put much effort into at all take off and earn monthly payouts from various programs. Some do what I expect and I'm satisfied with the return for the work put in. It all seems to balance out in the end.
I also have tubes, link dumps, mainstream sites and other stuff thrown in the mix. I think it's important to cast your net as wide as you can so that the pain of tough times here and there is eased by better times at other places on your network.
I would eventually like to have my own pay sites and affiliate program. But, I can't find the time.
