Its not always bad to ask some general medical questions on GFY - There are a lot of people here who may have had a relative with the problem for example that could recommend a good specialist.
Just don't post pics of your lump and expect a diagnosis....
Of course if Damian is correct and Trollosis is the issue I would suggest getting out more.
