The goal, as stated by brievik/berwick/brevik, is basic micro guerilla theory - to cause unrest, to force media attention, and to stimulate more copycat shootings.
classic small group guerilla theory is pretty well known - you commit atrocities to get the authorities to crack down on the population, forcing the population to chose between the authorities and the guerillas.
"algerian theory" - you kill anyone who cooperates with the authorities, to force polarization - that would be the next stage, after you get the government to start cracking down.
this "lone wolf"stage is just supposed to drive media attention, and force the discussion into the popular culture.
"lone wolf" guerilla theory is something close to brand new. it's actualy brilliant, in a gruesome way. it plays right into a certain kind of male psychology.
