no, the problem is that you automatically imply that the police is something someone should have fear of
when i park my car wrong, i accept the ticket and move on.
not because i am submissive, but because i was an idiot to park there.
i will smile at the officer, take the ticket, maybe have a chat and then drive away.
the police is not my enemy - at least not over here. they're just people in uniform. but i respect their job.
