Hustler still seems to be doing well in the magazine biz but many have folded and sold their titles to Magna Publishing. Score Group still seems to be doing well. But both those companies have strong Internet sides of their business. Without that I'm sure both companies would be in deep shit.

But when Montcalm Publishing, which was a large adult and mainstream magazine publisher, went broke I got to see their financials. The decline in their magazine sales was brutal, well known skin magazines selling 3,000 copies per issue.

Old dudes are probably the remaining skin mag buyers.

I'd love to see Playboy and Penthouse's real numbers of paid sales per issue.
