Luc, my mom is chinese... super strict parenting, she'd beat the shit out of me with anything she could find too.. slap my face, hit me with broom handles, rulers, all that shit, but i had enough respect to never say anything back to her.
She used to get mad about lots of stupid shit, I don't blame her for being so strict.. my grandfather was a general in the nationalist army of china, he must have been super strict to his children.
She would get my dad to beat the fuck out of me too when she didn't think she was hurting me enough to get her point across.. i suppose my parents were just older, old fashioned.
FUck it tho... i don't really regret any of that..
i would never hit my kids... i would be a completely different parent to them..
