You might wanna check what to do with your insurance company.
That's a 100K+ medical bill right there. Double that if there's any complications.
If someone did that to my kid I would have sued you for everything you could potentially own then take what you had and wrote the rest off as a chargeoff, instant tax debt for the rest of your life (bad debt writeoffs is a tax writeoff for me, so you get taxed on that)
