I too had terrible luck trying to sell cams with about the same ratio that you state has been your experience. When Chaturbate started, I thought that it looked like a possibility to make a few bucks with the $1.00 per free join with out even email verification. I never tried it though because I don't like or trust the owners of the program, so I just watched as others had some pretty good success with it.

When CrakMedia started with FreeCamsExposed I thought I would give it a try as I always thought, if there was one cam site that might sell for me, it's got to be MyFreeCams, but they didn't have an open affiliate program.

I tried FreeCamsExposed on a few of my higher volume TGPs and blogs. Still no sales. Then by accident I tried linking all my pics on a social blogging site I was starting to mess around with and BOOM!, I started getting a few PPL sales. I kept at it and soon I was getting a few a day and it keeps on building as I stick with it. I will keep scaling this up until it until the conversions slow down, but for now it is still growing for me as I put more time into this new traffic stream. I have had a few rev share sales that made more than the $2.50 PPL, but mostly I get the PPL sales. My ratio since I started with FreeCamsExposed is 1:527. It has stayed pretty consistent ratio wise, I have just increased the traffic consistently.

So, what I have learned is that cams just don't convert for me on my traditional bread and butter TGPs and blogs that are geared towards promoting regular pay sites. By accident I found this new traffic stream that does convert cam sales. I need to keep my mind and eyes open to finding new traffic sources that will work with cams.
