you have a method to deal with your losses it called the DMCA takedown/ or if you have proof they broke the safe harbor provision a lawsuit.
mega upload is the equavalent to the radio for artist like dan bull, not only does it pay him a small amount but people who like his stuff will donate as well so your cutting him off at the knees by shutting them down

if you want the laws to be re-written that way then hell yes the entire porn industry should be wiped out
If the first amendment rights of artist like Dan Bull can be taken away because you don't like the current laws (DMCA safe harbor provision)
that the religious right should have the same right to wipe you out to protect the children.
The reasonable position that you can't be held responsible for the actions of others (fake id of the model vs uploading actions of the infringer) should apply to EVERYONE or NO ONE
