- If you show up for an appointment, you are in a hospital waiting room for about 45 minutes before being seen (after your scheduled appointment).
- If you need surgery (which my Mom did), they make an appointment to return to the Hospital, about 2 weeks later. I took her in the morning and by the afternoon she was out (her operation was minor). They took great care of her and took the time to explain the procedure.
- The exam included X-rays and Cat Scans.
All of the above was completely free, and was handled over the course of about 1 month from the initial visit, to the detailed example, to the surgery and release. The only thing she had to pay for were pills which comes to about $50.00 per month. My mom has no insurance. It was all paid for by Canadian Medicare.
