:stoned Good morning, gfy. How's about some sweet french toast for breakfast? [RECIPE/PICS]

Die Heisse Kartoffel French Toast

Ingredients

1 Egg

1/2 cup of Goat Milk (If you can't get goatmilk use 1/3 cup carnation evaporated milt diluted in 1/4 cup water)

1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar

1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoon of Salt

1 Tablespoon of Vanilla

1 Tablespoon of Honey

4 Slices of Bread

4 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil for frying

( Use about 1 Tablespoon of oil per slice of Bread )

TOPPING:

100 % Pure Maple Syrup

Butter

( Use any topping you fancy - It's up to you! )

Procedure

PART 1

(1)

Toast your bread to Medium Brown and set aside.
(The secret to french toast! )

(2)

Into a mixing Bowl add:

Your Egg / Goat Milk / Brown Sugar / Cinnamon / Salt / Vanilla

MIX WELL

Add your Honey Last and mix it in.

( NOTE: The honey may leave bits of
itself undissolved, if you use a whisk.

This is OK.

You can also use a blender and this
should not happen - I use a hand whisk
. )

PART 2

(a)

To your Frying pan, add 4 Tablespoons
of Vegetable Oil and heat under LOW/medium Heat.

My heat settings range from 1 - 10
I used "4".

Depending on your frying pan, you can use less oil

( I used a square pan that can
accommodate 4 slices at once.
)

(b-1)

Dunk your toasted bread, one at a time,

into egg mixture. move it around for about
5 seconds.

(b-2)

Flip and move it around for about 5 seconds.

(b-3)

Flip again and move it around for 5 seconds.

(b-4)

Flip for the last time and move it around for 5 seconds.

( Note: You are trying not to let the bread
get 'soggy'. Since the bread is toasted;
it should prevent it from getting soggy.
)

( Note: You should have left over egg mix.

How to use this is shown below.
)

(c)

Add your 4 soaked bread to fry pan and let it fry.

( Note: If you have a smaller pan, add what
you can, just remember to use 1 tablespoon of

oil per slice of bread.
)

From your last piece of egg mix covered
bread, let the bread fry for about 1 minute and flip.

Using your left over egg mix.

From your first flip (on cooked side)
spoon and spread 1 tablespoon of
left over egg mix per piece of toast.

After about 1 minute, flip and spread another
tablespoon of left over egg mix, per slice of bread.

Keep repeating this process of flipping after
about a minute and spooning a tablespoon of left
over egg mix on each slice toast, until your left
over egg mix is finished.

(d)

Slowly cook and keep flipping per minute, until
you achieve a golden brown color to your toast.

( Note: I made this in about 13 minutes of slowly cooking and

flipping the toast about every minute. Your cook time may vary.
)

Turn off your stove, add your toppings and that's it!

Have a good meal!

Coffee, anyone?

How's about combining it with that scrambled eggs recipe, to complete

the show?
