Pompous John is talking about the affiliate model where the traffic you want from an expansive network of partners sends you traffic. Their product is the traffic that you pay per sale on..... your product is the model and her product is her T&A.

You may make money all of your own with only 15% of your traffic/sales coming from affiliates but I doubt you have many 'whales' there. Get one of them and your entire view of the people that post here on GFY often would change and you would see the value of being respectful and listening to what the community here has to say. There are plenty of hard working people here that make a LOT of money promoting sites like yours. It is incredibly short sighted to alienate them due to hurt feelings
