We live on Miami Beach. My wife regularly commutes to Kendall and south Miami using the turnpike. There is a lot of traffic everywhere, so what? It's a fact of life. Miami is no different than any other city. It's not like you are going to get killed 15 minutes after you get here. The point is quality of life. Living in Doral or Kendall is fine if you like even more people and traffic. Especially if you speak Spanish. You can find a decent apartment for a decent price if you have a few weeks to learn the area. But if you live near where you work, you can ride a bike. Then you will be all set and you will quickly figure out that it sucks to live there. Good luck. You can watch re-runs of Miami Vice to see what you are missing.
