I purchased the original HTC Evo 4G on release day in June 2010 and I have loved it and used it heavily on a daily basis ever since. I purchased an HTC Evo 4G LTE with my upgrade for $200 last week but I hated it and returned it the next day. It does have a fast processor and beautiful screen. But really dislike several features of it, especially the power plug being on the upper left instead of the bottom of the phone and the simplified three button layout on the bottom with the rarely used recently used apps button taking up the entirety of the right half of the space with the back and home all the way on the left.

Most of all, I thought bigger would be better, but the 4.7 screen phone is too tall and narrow to be held comfortably and navigated in one hand, especially since I can't reach across the greater width of the phone to hit back or home with my thumb using one hand. The greater size almost necessitates using two hands for most interaction, at least in my experience. Not to mention, although it is limited in availability and has weak building penetration, I can actually get 4G through Wimax in my neighborhood and other places I go in South Florida while the LTE network Sprint is building out, although more powerful and better for the future, doesn't really exist yet.
