Agreed.

I do not mind a spirited debate, and there are many people I do not like, or have fought with in the past from time to time. However, I have also managed to have sane discussions with them in the next thread as if nothing happened the week before. Sometime people get caught up in the moment of the topic, or having a bad day. It happens to us all at some point.

However, once it results into little more than name calling for the sake of trying to hurt someone's feelings, or incite a mob, you've essentially lost. It really shows, to me anyway, you are not intelligent enough to make your point like an adult. So you've resulted to screaming like a little kid calling names, or making threats, for the sake of an internet duel to "teach someone a lesson".

I guess that comes down to how you were raised. I personally do not think it's justified, any more than taking a swing at a woman because she took a swing at you first. But if that's how you roll, so be it. Different strokes I suppose.
