I did not have plans or hopes or dreams of being a actor or musician. I wanted to be a Marine, just like my daddy. My daddy died in Vietnam so I had no idea what being a Marine was when I was a kid, but we didn't "play army", instead, we played "Marines". I didn't know the difference then.
My master plan in life was all set. I was in the culinary program at my high school (which had a real live restaurant opened the public), and worked in a real restaurant at night. My plan was to join the Marines, become a cook, and then onto a culinary college.
Plans change... I dropped out of high school and a few months later went into the Marines; Although I didn't graduate high school I showed up at my high school graduation in my dress blues. I didn't become a cook and was straight up infantry.
Eventually I went to college for computers.
I couldn't be happier with the way my life turned out. Joining the Marines was the best thing I ever did.
