Addendum: You DO realize that Men Without Hats is fronted by an American born communist who could only achieve success in the smaller (and much more liberal) Canadian market? Safety Dance is about the Soviet Russia May Day holiday. Released in 1983 - about 8 years before the Soviet Union fell - its a celebration of communism.
Of course, the song is so cute and cuddly that everyone just LOVES it!
It comes across as a cute little pop song, but there's always an ulterior motive.
