Right. I think what happened to her is ridiculous. What happened to me was also ridiculous. The system is not geared to helping you is the obvious point. Just to clear their docket and call "next" to the clerk is a days work.
btw, nobody ever tried to counsel me or whatever before it all came down. They DID try to guilt induce me by telling me how much grief I was causing my mother who just lost her husband. As if I also hadn't just lost a father and all that shit. Not that I'm bitter, and theres no need to tell me to "get over it" as people have done in the past. It's just to illustrate that this shit happens and it's our tax dollars at work.
All it would have taken was some weekly grief counselling I think, plus possibly letting my mother place me voluntarily so she could remove me when it was a good time. Instead they forced her to pay for much longer than was needed at the worst time of her life. It was pure punishment, and there was only 3 counselling sessions while I was there. Once per 6 months.
