When I was 13 I grew despondent after having just moved to a new part of the country and then my father died, so I was a bad boy skipped a lot of school. The family court decided the correct thing to do was to sentance me to 18 months in a juvenile home and make my mother pay for it while she still had 5 other kids and a new mortgage and a dead husband. That was over 30 years ago. So this kind of shit is nothing new.
