That was my first thought, but the more I think about it, I think this might be a situation where Walmart just settles. There's dozens of youtube videos of kids going into Walmart and talking nonsense over the intercom as a prank. Clearly they have a system that allows easy access by the public, so the guy may have a case that Walmart isn't doing more to keep their system inaccessible to the public, (like requiring a code by the store attendant before they are able to speak into the system).
Obviously the guy would have to prove some level of emotional/physical distress because of the prank. Just seems anytime these days that accusations of racial bias/profiling/prejudice are thrown around, corporations want to stay as far away as possible and will settle to avoid public scrutiny even if they weren't directly negligent.
