i got a 1-800 # that used to be a customer support # for IBM.
what a nightmear - 3-4 calls a week from angry people.
I gave up and left this as an ansering machine message. it left them even more anger.
"thank you for call the 1-800 telespammer hotline. In accordance with the rules of the telaspammer contract your phone number will now be added to our database of 300 reputable companies that will phone you day in and day out to solicit their services on you. Please be nice when they begin to call. - oh, and call blocking won't work as this is a 1-800 number and we will get your phone number at the end of the month when our bill for long distance comes in. There is no way to remove yourself from the telaspammer list. - Have a great day and enjoy all the wonderful phone calls you will soo be getting.
