In the Old Testament. In the New Testament the apostle Paul says Christians are free from those sorts of things. You didn't know that?
Also, even in the Old Testament those commands were given to Jews to set them apart from everyone else. It was one of those "these things are beneath you - you're too good for this" types of things.
