NYC is the most dangerous place I have ever seen for riding motorcycles, I frequently see delivery vans blowing red lights at over 60 MPH. Not uncommon at all. And the taxi's in Manhattan? Fuck all of them.

I had a little speedy GTI turbo with 4wheel antilock brakes yadda yadda dodging shit left and right -- 90% of the time some giant fucking truck is parked smack middle in the road -- you got people walking all over the place, cars coming the other direction -- and one-way streets and streets that just end with no rhyme or reason -- and everyone is honking like HURRY UP YOU SLOW FUCKER -- I'm thinking jesus I'm 27, fast reflexes and these old people in their beat up cars deal with this shit every day like it's nothing... You would have guys challenging to cut you off at every turn -- it was a battle of who has more balls at every intersection... every time a lane ends... the lanes just END! Youll be driving -- oops -- no more lane... Then you have to either slam on the brakes risk slamming into the other lane... If you don't know the neighborhood you will get cut off over and over again -- you'll miss the one-way streets because you couldn't get over in time. I hated it... If you're just nice -- EVERYONE will pass and everyone behind you will be honking like crazy... Haha... So I'd just REV the engine to scare the shit out of people -- so they thought I was insane... Half these people have crappy fucked up dented cars -- like they give a shit if they run into you... These bridges and roads are so narrow, it's practically normal to brush against other cars in traffic... Even worse is when it's raining and you have some valuable shit in your car and you are just thinking holy crap if I get into an accident my car will get jacked... Don't expect anyone to help ya change your tire either...
