TheFLY is partially right, I live in Brooklyn and its true, you can do whatever you want, drive like a psycho, until you hurt someone.
Once you hurt someone- its over, they will toss you in jail for as long as possible, and it takes a looong time to get through the NYC court system....
NYC is the most dangerous place I have ever seen for riding motorcycles, I frequently see delivery vans blowing red lights at over 60 MPH. Not uncommon at all. And the taxi's in Manhattan? Fuck all of them.
