Well I spent an hour looking for this (again) cause it makes me feel better.

"A fundamental goal of the federal bankruptcy laws enacted by Congress is to give debtors a financial "fresh start" from burdensome debts.
The Supreme Court made this point about the purpose of the bankruptcy law in a 1934 decision:"
Supreme Court (1934)
"It (Bankruptcy) gives the honest but unfortunate debtor…a new opportunity in life and a clear field for future effort, unhampered by the pressure and discouragement of preexisting debt."
In the United States, we believe a man should not be thrown onto the street and allow collectors to ruin someone who may have paid back the loan in full plus a sizeable interest but STILL has the same principal owed on paper due to the sinister nature of interest and fees.
BR is a part of business and life. And yes the United States Supreme Court has got my (your) back.
