Many years ago I worked for a company that put values on total loss cars for insurance companies. This meant finding market values of cars so I dealt with a lot of car salesmen and it seems like about 90% of them are cuts.
A friend of mine once bought a truck and he negotiated heavily with them. He even walked away and told them to call him if they decided to accept his offer. When he got home there was a message on the machine waiting for him. He goes back to buy the truck and as he was about to sign the contract he says, "I think my signature is worth $100 don't you?" They asked what he meant and he told them he was only going to sign if they gave him $100 cash so he could take his girlfriend out to dinner and movie in his new truck. They gave him the money and the sales manager said to him, "I don't know if I should hate you or offer you a job." He replied, "I'm not sure if I should be offended by that or not."
