I'm sure everyone is sick of it.
The creativity required is in the attitude of the online porn industry towards the product. Creating a different scene and including all the things listed here is a no help.

No ignoring the old ideas was the problem. Suddenly we had webmasters shooting porn with no clue what they were doing. Then everyone swearing blind that the limited porn they were able to produce was exactly what the online surfer wanted. Even though there was massive evidence from a few sites who could produce better were doing far better.

Sure, tubes and other illegal sites may be dipping into your profits, but the biggest problem is the shitty porn that they put out and expect people to spend their $ on. you want people to actually sped $? Start making a product that's worth it. Why would someone want to pay for your crappy porn when they can just go download one for free that's exactly the same as what you just released for the exception of the "actors" (I used this term very loosely) on the movie?
Great post Yngwie

So why is the business this way?

Money. Its that simple and I will beat my drum again.

Start making a product that's worth it. Start paying what it takes to get the shooters who know how to shoot great porn.

Why would someone want to pay for your crappy porn. Sponsors buy this crap or turn it out every day. That's who would buy it.

It's simple. There are 100,000s of guys who can and will point a camera at a naked girl. There's a few 100 who can produce great porn and they go to the highest spenders. The first number might be too low.

I have lost count of the times people have asked me to shoot our level of porn for their level of budget. If a sponsor wants to $300 - $500 solo girl, $800-$1000 lesbian scene $1200-$2000 for an exclusive scene, he's up against better paying markets paying up to 10 times more. The good shooters did not work for that money. Now we have a few sites upping their content game, they only needed to up their content budget to achieve it.

It's no different than any other section of the business. the best go to where the money is best.

I's off to walk the dog, do some jigsaw, watch TV, do some cooking soon. Because we never went the route of shooting for some sites who wanted us to churn out cheap exclusive porn for them.

Most custom shooters have to work next week to pay the bills. Go figure why.

*me banging the same old drum*
