We plan over the next 6-12 months to develop our own traffic... I know we've mentioned and discussed this before... and I know there are some elements that people dont agree with... but we intend to launch a bunch of freesite/tgps, we intend to launch a network of blogs, we have a couple of tubes in mind (domain names and software) and are even planning a message board... but as I said this is a 6-12 month development...

In the meantime we intend to invest the initial budget of $1000 direct to our paysites... we understand that this amount is real bottom level entry for advertising, and we understand that some things may not work out, and result in us having to reload the budget...

We've already decided on YNOT mail as we have some good email lists... So that will probably eat into our budget to the tune of between $150-$200. We intend to look at Juicy Ads for some good niche specific ad space... to the tune of around $500... But we're still deciding what to spend the remaining $300... But like the YNOT and Juicy Options it must be measurable...
YNOT is an excellent use of your money as you will be able to judge results right away.

The #1 "problem" or issue with "advertising" per se is that it works best with repetition. So the more times someone sees or hears an ad the more effective it is. So with such a small ad budget you will never be able to buy enough advertising to become repetitive enough to make a profit. Does that make sense?

So I would try Juicy Ads or Exoclick or some such site, where you can control the clicks and budget. But again, you're relying on type-ins, "awareness". actual banner clicks (which depend greatly on the design of said banner) and placement of ad. plus, there may be a "lag time" as you may be in a queue for that spot so your actual ad does not appear for days after you think it did...

And so on. But best of luck. in the end you need to find your own way with advertising and that, unfortunately, can be quite costly.
